Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Meet the Astoria Team Behind Floodline Restoration Co.
Most restoration companies send a salesperson first and a crew later. We don’t. The person who answers your call at 2 a.m. is the same kind of person who shows up at your door with a moisture meter and a plan. Floodline Restoration Co. has served Astoria, Long Island City, Woodside, Sunnyside, and the surrounding Queens neighborhoods for years, building a team that knows the difference between a pre-war basement leak and a foundation crack that’s been waiting a decade to announce itself. These are the people who do the work.
Our People
Curt Bowman, Owner & Lead Restoration Technician
Curt founded Floodline Restoration Co. in 2010 after spending years watching restoration crews hand homeowners a bill and a shrug. Trained to IICRC standards, he still runs jobs personally, reads moisture maps on day one, and logs daily drying readings until the dry standard is met. Ask him about Queens basements and he’ll tell you there’s no such thing as a routine water intrusion in a hundred-year-old row house. He’s the one who put the 90-Day Done Right Promise in writing because, as he puts it, “a guarantee you won’t put on paper isn’t a guarantee.”
Dana R., Senior Water Damage Technician
Dana has nine years in restoration, the first four spent on fire jobs in the Bronx before she joined Floodline and made water mitigation her focus. She’s certified in applied structural drying and handles the Injectidry floor systems that save hardwood instead of replacing it. Her specialty is the tight-access Astoria co-op: the crawl space behind a water heater, the bathroom subfloor under a cast-iron tub. If a job needs a daily readings log that stands up to an adjuster’s questions, Dana’s the one keeping it.
Mike T., Reconstruction Lead
Mike has framed, tiled, and trimmed out rebuilds for Floodline from day one of his employment, after fifteen years as a finish carpenter in Queens. He runs the reconstruction side, the part that turns a dried-out shell back into a kitchen or a bedroom. He’s particular about thresholds, cabinet reveals, and matching trim profiles in older Astoria homes, which means he’s frequently arguing with no one in particular about baseboard from a 1920s supply house. He works to the same Keystone Standard everyone else does: done right, in writing.
Elena S., Service Coordinator
Elena is the voice on the phone at any hour, from the midnight call from a third-floor walk-up on 30th Avenue to a Tuesday afternoon sewage backup on Ditmars. She’s been with Floodline for five years, runs dispatch, schedules certifed crews, and keeps the equipment list current so a full drying setup leaves the shop the same visit a call comes in. She also handles estimator schedules and carrier updates. Don’t let the steady tone fool you; she knows exactly how long every truck takes to get from the yard to any block in Astoria.
Benny P., Apprentice Technician
Benny started at Floodline as a shop hand two years ago and now rides with Dana or Curt on mitigation jobs. He’s training toward IICRC water restoration technician certification and learning the equipment brands every crew here uses: Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers, Phoenix air movers, XPOWER extraction units, B-Air dryers. He’s the one hauling hoses up four flights when the elevator’s out and the one who gets quizzed on dry standards when the day ends. He’ll tell you the worst thing he’s ever seen was a sump pump that quit during a summer storm in Woodside. He’ll also tell you he’s never missed a morning.
One Standard, Every Job
The 90-Day Done Right Promise is the same in Astoria as it is anywhere else Floodline serves. Not a slogan; a written commitment, backed by the K.E.Y.S. values code, with no arguing and no paperwork battles. Every crew member, from Curt down through Benny, works to one bar: the line the water left is where we start, and the job isn’t done until it’s done right, Every time, Your home first, Standing behind it. Background-checked, uniformed, and trained to industry standards, the team operates with the three standing offers every customer gets: $50 off any repair over $250, the $89 seasonal tune-up, and the Senior & Veteran 5% discount, always.
